is a practical crossbody bag for your everyday life, featuring a clean design.

Very stylish and worn close to the body, ohTelli is perfect for carrying your phone, wallet, keys, and other small essentials, leaving your hands free. Ideal for walks (with or without a dog), shopping, or strolling through street festivals, autumn, and Christmas markets.

Depending on your fabric choice, you can design ohTelli to be sporty, super chic, or trendy casual.

The external slip pocket together with the panel design options provide a unique look. At the same time, this same slip pocket is the perfect and quick access place for your phone.

ohTelli is closed with a zipper, and the external slip pocket features one of five (optional) flap designs.

Inside, there is a small patch pocket with two card slots, a zipper pocket, and a key holder.

All sewing steps will be explained in detail in this guide, with plenty of pictures.

For ohTelli, you can use almost any material, allowing you to create a highly variable unique piece. I recommend thinner fabrics such as canvas, thin corduroy, oilskin, outdoor fabric, and woven fabrics.

ohTelli has the following dimensions (HxWxD): 21 x 16 x 1.5 cm (8 ¼ x 6 ¼ x 5/8 inches).

The seam allowance of 0.75/1 cm (¼ / 3/8 inches) is included, all important positions and grainlines are marked.

Fabric Requirements (HxW):

• Exterior fabric / pieces plus optional accessories WITHOUT strap, made from one fabric, plus optional reinforcement: 30 x 140 cm (11 ¾“ x 55“)
• Lining / inner bag pieces including all optional accessories plus optional interfacing Innenstoff: 45 x 140 cm (17 ¾“ x 55“)
• Optional shoulder strap: Max. 15 (5 7/8”) x desired length
• Webbing 4.0 cm (1 ½“) wide, optional exchange: Desired length

List of Materials:

• Exterior fabric: (thinner fabrics) canvas, light oilskin, woven fabric, thin corduroy, outdoor fabrics, etc.
• I do not recommend faux leather of any thickness for ohTelli!
• Lining fabric: (thinner fabrics) canvas, woven fabric
• Interfacing: Vlieseline H250/S320/H630 OR Pellon 931TD/Décor-Bond 809/Fusible Fleece)
• Choose the appropriate reinforcement depending on the thickness of your fabric and your desired level of stability and usage. Keep in mind the many layers when working on the external and internal pockets.
• For the strap connection: 2x D-rings/snap rings, 2.5 cm (1”)
• For closing: 1x 19 cm (7 ½“) continuous zipper, width 3-3.4 cm (1 ¼” – 1 3/8”) + 1x zipper pull

Optional:

• If using the exterior slip pocket with a flap: 1x snap button
• If using the key holder: 1x 2.5 cm (1”) snap hook OR small snap ring
• If using the interior zipper pocket: 1x 17 cm (6.69 inches) continuous zipper, width 3-3.4 cm (1 ¼ -1 3/8“) + 1x zipper pull
• If making your own shoulder strap: 2x snap hooks and 1x slider 4.0 cm (1 ½”)
• If using webbing for the shoulder strap: 1x desired length of 4 cm (1 ½”) wide webbing
• DoubleCap rivets or Chicago screws
