LYSE is your sewing pattern for loose-fitting trousers with a paperbag waistband and a straight leg – long or short. English instructions.

Pleats at the front, slanted pockets, back pockets and a fake fly. The high waistband gathers above the elastic into a paperbag. Long or short, with a tie belt or with drawcord and eyelets – as you like, optionally with belt loops. Designed for fluid wovens such as viscose, Tencel or linen.

Sizes: women EU 34–52 · US 4–22 · UK 8–26

Fabric: wovens: viscose, Tencel, chambray, linen, baby cord

Fabric requirements: long trousers 1.8–2.5 m, shorts approx. 1.0–1.4 m (140 cm wide)

Notions: elastic 3.5 cm, woven interfacing, thread, optional tie belt or drawcord + eyelets
